Injuries Reported in Yuma Plane Accident in North Dome Valley

YUMA, AZ (July 1, 2026) – Last Friday, a crippling plane crash in North Dome Valley injured 3 people.

The incident happened when a plane crashed on a dirt road in north Dome Valley near Yuma.

According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the pilot of a small aircraft reported engine trouble and a loss of power on Friday before advising the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma control tower that the plane would attempt to land in the North Dome Valley, about 25 miles northeast of Yuma.

An Air and Marine Operations helicopter was dispatched and located the downed aircraft on a dirt road within five minutes. A United States Border Patrol agent also responded to the scene.

Officials said all three people aboard the aircraft were unharmed.

Helicopter crews guided first responders to the crash site because of the area’s complex network of farm fields and irrigation canals.

The cause of the reported engine problems remains under investigation.
