2 Troopers Injured in Crippling Pursuit Crash on Wiezmann Street [San Antonio, TX]

Injuries Reported in San Antonio Auto Accident on Wiezmann Street

SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 14, 2026) – Friday night, a crippling pursuit crash on Wiezmann Street injured two troopers.

The incident began with a chase at about 6:35 p.m. However, the suspect didn’t yield to troopers on Wiezmann Street, said DPS Sgt. Dila Hidalgo. 

According to Hidalgo, the pursuit was brought to an end using a Grappler device. However, the suspect fled on foot, entered a second vehicle, and escaped the scene.

Two unidentified troopers were injured after being dragged by the fleeing vehicle as the suspects were leaving the area. Authorities have not released information on the troopers’ conditions.

No arrests had been made as of Friday night. The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation, which remains ongoing.
