1 Person Hospitalized in Shelby County Auto Accident on Highway 36

SHELBY COUNTY, TX (May 10, 2026) – Friday morning, a crippling rear-end crash on Highway 36 injured one person.

The incident happened on the eastbound ramp to Highway 36.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound Chevrolet Silverado rear-ended a Volvo VNL for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed a 38-year-old passenger of the Volvo to University Hospital with serious injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
