2 People Hospitalized in Palisade Auto Accident on Interstate 70 near Horizon Drive

PALISADE, CO (June 2, 2026) – Monday morning, a crippling rollover crash on Interstate 70 near Horizon Drive injured two people.

The incident happened at around 9:46 a.m. on Interstate 70 near Horizon Drive.

According to reports, a vehicle veered into the right side of the road, overcorrected, and struck a guardrail before it rolled over.

Moreover, responders rushed the 34-year-old male driver of the vehicle to a hospital with critical injuries. Then, paramedics transported the 47-year-old passenger of the vehicle to a hospital with serious injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed the eastbound Interstate 70 between Horizon Drive near Clifton and Cameo.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
