Injuries Reported in Montgomery County Auto Accident on Interstate 70 near Williamsbug

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MO (April 14, 2026) – Sunday, a crippling single-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 near Williamsburg sent 2 people to the hospital.

The incident happened when a 2014 Toyota Tundra traveled east on Interstate 70, east of Williamsburg.

Around 9:50 p.m., a Toyota veered off the left side of the roadway before the driver attempted to steer back onto the interstate. The vehicle then overcorrected, crossed to the right side, and left the road again.

It overturned multiple times down an embankment, striking several trees before coming to rest.

A 29-year-old man from Kansas City and a 30-year-old female passenger were both critically injured. They were transported by a Montgomery County ambulance to University Hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
