EL PASO, TX (May 19, 2025) – Sunday morning, a crippling traffic crash on Gateway East and Exit 34 injured one person.

The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. along the 9700 block of Gateway East and exit 34.

According to reports, responders rushed one person to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Moreover, the crash closed Interstate 10 East at Loop 375, Exit 34A, but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations unit continued investigating the crash.
