Injuries Reported in Fresno Auto Accident on Ventura Avenue and 5th Street

FRESNO, CA (June 2, 2026) – Late Sunday night, a man was hospitalized after a crippling traffic crash on Ventura Avenue and 5th Street.

The incident occurred just before 10:00 p.m. at the Valero Gas Station parking lot on Ventura Avenue and 5th Street.

Police say the driver was going through the lot to get to a gas pump when the vehicle ran over an unhoused man.

The driver tells police he couldn’t see the victim, who suffered cuts to his head.

The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and is being treated for his injuries.

The driver is cooperating with the investigation.
