CASS COUNTY, MO (May 7, 2026) – Wednesday night, a crippling vehicle crash on Missouri Route Y and E 195th Street injured 2 people.

Reports said that the incident happened just before 9:30 p.m. on Missouri Route Y and East 195th Street.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2019 Chrysler driven by a 72-year-old man from Belton struck an abandoned vehicle blocking the southbound lane.

The driver suffered minor injuries, while his 67-year-old female passenger from Belton sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to Research Medical Center for treatment.
