Injuries Reported in Jefferson City Watercraft Accident on Osage River

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (July 27, 2026) – Saturday night, a woman sustained serious injuries in a crippling watercraft crash on Osage River.

The incident involving a personal watercraft happened at 6:15 p.m. on Osage River, upstream from the St. Thomas access to the river.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a personal watercraft crash left a woman injured after a 2021 Kawasaki STX struck a shallow area of a river.

Troopers said a 23-year-old Jefferson City man was operating the Kawasaki STX when it hit the shallow water, ejecting a 43-year-old Jefferson City woman from the personal watercraft.

The report states that the driver left the scene following the crash.
