Truck Driver Hurt in Fiery Head-On Crash with Semi on Highway 6
Riesel, TX (October 02, 2025) – Authorities identified the two people killed in Tuesday’s head-on crash with an 18-wheeler on Highway 6 as 71-year-old Cristopher Woycheshin and 67-year-old Terry Woycheshin, both of Marlin.
The Department of Public Safety reported that the crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. near County Road 105, south of Riesel. Investigators said the Woycheshin’s passenger car traveled the wrong way in the northbound lanes and struck a semi-truck head-on.
The impact caused the semi-truck to overturn, while the car caught fire. Officials say that both occupants of the car died at the scene. Meanwhile, the truck driver suffered minor injuries.
Traffic along Highway 6 remained backed up for several hours as crews cleared the wreckage.
