30-Year-Old Crystal Barrera Dies in 2-Car Crash on Cedar Avenue

Victim Identified in Fatal DUI Crash on Cedar and McKinley Avenues in Fresno

Fresno, CA (November 11, 2025) — Authorities identified 30-year-old Crystal Barrera as the passenger who died in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning at Cedar and McKinley Avenues in Central Fresno.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 1:45 a.m. when a speeding Honda heading north on Cedar Avenue rear-ended a Chevy Impala at the intersection. The impact forced the Chevy through the intersection and into the southbound lanes.

Reports say that Barrera, who was in the Chevy, died at the scene. The male driver of the Chevy sustained serious injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. The Honda driver also suffered moderate injuries and was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
