35-Year-Old Curtis Meyer Arrested in Deadly DUI Crash on Highway 63 [Vichy, MO]

Vichy, MO (September 25, 2025) – Curtis Meyer, 35, of Rolla, was arrested following a deadly DUI crash on Highway 63 Monday evening.

It was around 6:30 p.m. on September 24 when the fatal collision happened south of Highway 68, near the Fire Department.

According to the authorities, a Dodge Ram 3500 driven by Curtis Meyer, crossed the center line and hit a Ford F-150 head on.

The 69-year-old man who was driving the Ford F-150 sustained moderate injuries and was rushed to University Hospital. Sadly, the 65-year-old female passenger in the Ford died at the scene. Both of them are from Vichy.

MSHP said both Ford occupants were wearing seatbelts during the collision.

The accident report noted that Meyer smelled strongly of intoxicants and admitted that he drank half a bottle of alcohol before the collision. Investigators added that Meyer’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy. Officers said Meyer’s speech was slurred, and that he stumbled and fell when officers asked him to stand up.

Meyer allegedly declined to take a Breathalyzer test, and police obtained a search warrant to test his blood.

The authorities took Meyer to an area hospital and was then taken to the Maries County Jail. He is charged with DWI causing the death of another, DWI causing serious physical injury, failing to maintain insurance, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway, and failing to display plates.

Troopers said Meyer was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
