Police Investigate Crash on NW Loop 410 at Ingram Road in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (October 12, 2025) – A cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash on NW Loop 410 early Saturday morning on the city’s West Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD).

The collision occurred just before midnight near the 6500 block of NW Loop 410 Access Road at Ingram Road. 

Authorities say the driver of a black 2022 Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when they lost control near a turnaround island beneath the freeway.

The Mustang struck a curb, drove onto the island, and hit a man who was sitting on a bicycle, SAPD said. 

After the impact, the vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a black 2013 Audi sedan.

Rather than stop to provide aid or exchange information, the Mustang driver fled the scene. Officers later discovered the vehicle abandoned behind a nearby shopping center.

The cyclist was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The Audi driver’s condition is not yet known.

Once identified, SAPD says the Mustang driver will face charges for collision involving injury and collision involving property damage exceeding $200.
