NEWHALL, CA (November 4, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, authorities arrested Daniel Osugeura after an alarming DUI crash on The Old Road and Rye Canyon Road.

The incident happened at around 2:57 p.m. on The Old Road and Rye Canyon Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound vehicle veered onto the traffic lane and collided with two oncoming vehicles. Then, the force of the crash pushed one of the vehicles to roll over and caused a chain reaction crash that involved two more vehicles.

Moreover, responders transported two people to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle that veered into oncoming traffic on suspicion of driving under the influence.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
