Woman Killed in Rollover Crash at Hartnell and Victor Avenues in Redding

Redding, CA (March 12, 2026) — On Wednesday afternoon, 41-year-old Daniel Reed of Redding was involved in a violent rollover crash in a busy intersection in Redding that left a woman dead and 2 minors hurt.

Officers with the Redding Police Department responded around 1:49 p.m. to a collision at Hartnell Avenue and Victor Avenue. When authorities arrived, they found a pickup truck overturned on its roof and another vehicle with heavy front-end damage.

Investigators said the woman had been driving a pickup truck eastbound on Hartnell Avenue when she entered the intersection and collided with a Subaru driven by Reed.

The force of the impact caused the pickup to roll over. Authorities said the woman was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected during the crash, suffering fatal injuries.

Two juveniles who were passengers in the pickup were transported to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police temporarily closed the area while investigators documented the scene and continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
