Daniel Walker, 70, Fatally Struck on W Gentry Parkway [Tyler, TX]

Tyler, TX (March 13, 2026) – Daniel Walker, 70, of Tyler, was fatally injured following a W Gentry Parkway accident late Wednesday night.

Police said Tyler was hit by a vehicle before midnight at the 1200 block of Gentry Parkway, near North Ross Avenue.

Investigators said Walker was walking northwest on the road when he was struck by a westbound vehicle that was traveling on the outside lane. 

Immediately, rescuers responded to the scene and provided life-saving measures but Walker died in the accident.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. 

Troopers closed the area between North Moore Avenue and North Confederate Avenue during investigation.
