Lancaster, CA (October 20, 2023) On Wednesday afternoon, 45-year-old Darnell Hines of Lancaster was killed after a motorcycle crash on Avenue K.

According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Department, the fatal 2-vehicle collision happened at about 3:30 p.m. near 15th Street East.

Reports say that a female driving an eastbound Mazda sedan on Avenue K turned onto 15th Street East and collided with Hines, who was westbound on Avenue K riding his motorcycle.

The impact of the crash sent Hines airborne and landed on the road. Officials pronounced Hines dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the probable cause of the fatal 2-vehicle collision.
