63-Year-Old David Beard Dies in Tragic Pedestrian Crash on Golden State Boulevard [Turlock, CA]

Turlock, CA (December 5, 2024) On Monday evening, 63-year-old David Beard of Turlock, died in a horrific pedestrian crash on Golden State Boulevard.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal crash happened at about 7:36 p.m. on Golden State Boulevard.

Reports say that the collision on Golden State Boulevard at Golf Road claimed the life of the 63-year-old man.

Authorities say that at aboutt 7:36 p.m., officers arrived at the scene and found Beard lying in the roadway. Emergency responders transported Beard to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, where he later died.

CHP’s preliminary investigation revealed that Beard ran eastward from the west shoulder of the road, directly into the path of a northbound 2021 Chevrolet pickup truck.

The truck’s driver, 44-year-old Turlock resident Duraye Kinhoo, stayed at the scene and identified himself to authorities. CHP confirmed Kinhoo was uninjured, not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Golden State Boulevard was temporarily closed, with a detour set up to minimize traffic disruption.
