DOUGLAS CITY, CA (July 24, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, David Marceau sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 299.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 2:20 p.m. on Highway 299.
 
Reports revealed that a westbound vehicle driven by 21-year-old Bilal Abdelrauf attempted to make a left turn. Then, it collided with a vehicle driven by 74-year-old David Marceau.
 
Moreover, responders transported Marceau to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with minor injuries. Meanwhile, Abdeldrauf and his passenger refused further treatment at the scene.
 
Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
