Investigators determined that an unidentified vehicle traveling westbound on Anaheim Street struck the man between Harbor Avenue and the freeway.

The motorist fled the scene. Authorities had not released the victim’s identity while the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office worked to notify his relatives.
