12-Year-Old Girl Killed in Off-Road Vehicle Crash in Socorro

Socorro, TX (August 19, 2025) — A 12-year-old girl lost her life Sunday evening after a deadly crash on Darrington Road.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened around 8:19 p.m in the desert near Darrington Road and Vista Larga Trail.

Police said that a 2023 Polaris Razor, driven by a 36-year-old woman, rolled over. Three others were also inside the vehicle: another 36-year-old woman, a 14-year-old girl, and the 12-year-old victim.

Emergency crews rushed the child to Del Sol Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

The Socorro Police Department requested assistance from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation continues.
