Two Dead, One Critically Injured in Early-Morning I-20 Crash in Fort Worth

Fort Worth, TX (December 25, 2025) — A violent crash on Interstate 20 in Fort Worth early Tuesday morning claimed two lives and left another person fighting for survival.

According to authorities, the collision happened around 2:20 a.m. near Granbury Road and involved a pickup truck and an SUV. Police said a passenger was thrown from one of the vehicles and died at the scene.

Both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles following the impact. One driver was pronounced dead, while the other was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims.

The crash forced the closure of all lanes of I-20 for approximately four hours as crews worked the scene and investigators gathered evidence. Traffic began moving again when the two left lanes reopened shortly before 6:40 a.m.
