One Person Killed in Early Morning Three-Vehicle Crash on I-805 in San Diego

San Diego, CA (March 10, 2026) — A person lost their life early Sunday morning following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 805 in San Diego.

The fatal collision happened shortly after 4:22 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway, just north of Governor Drive in the University City area. Authorities reported that the crash involved three vehicles.

During the collision, one of the vehicles struck the center divider and caught fire. The victim died as a result of the crash. Officials have not yet released the identity of the person who was killed.
