Deadly Crash on Rancho Road Kills 17-Year-Old Boy

Teen Killed, Six Others Injured in Rollover Crash Involving Dodge Charger in Adelanto

Adelanto, CA (June 9, 2025) — A 17-year-old boy lost his life, and six other teenagers suffered injuries after a shocking crash on Rancho Road early Sunday morning.

The collision happened around 2:37 a.m. near Rancho Road and Lilac Road. According to authorities, the 2013 Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control near the intersection.

Investigators said the vehicle left the roadway and rolled onto its side. At least one occupant was ejected during the crash. Emergency crews transported six injured occupants to a nearby hospital, where one 17-year-old passenger later died from his injuries. Officials have not released the victim’s identity pending notification of family members.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team took over the investigation. Rancho Road remained closed for about six hours while investigators collected evidence and interviewed witnesses.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
