Deadly DUI Crash on Peppermint Circle Kills 1 [Tuolumne, CA]

Tuolumne, CA (July 8, 2025) Early Saturday morning, a 54-year-old woman was killed in a shocking DUI crash on Peppermint Circle.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the suspected DUI crash happened just after midnight on Peppermint Circle, west of Peppermint Lane.

Reports say that a woman lost her life after a pickup truck slammed into multiple trees and a power pole.

Authorities say that a 61-year-old man was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado when he failed to navigate a curve in the road. The vehicle veered off, hit a tree, continued northwest, and struck a second tree before coming to a stop.

After the initial impact, the driver reportedly reversed the truck and backed into a wooden power pole.

Officials say that the 54-year-old woman riding in the front passenger seat died at the scene. Authorities arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI.
