BRAWLEY, CA (December 4, 2024) – Monday night, a woman died in a deadly hit-and-run crash on Western Avenue.

The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Western Avenue and J Street.

Officers responded to reports of a traffic accident involving a pedestrian and found an older woman with severe injuries. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Authorities describe the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored Dodge Charger with windshield damage and a missing driver’s side mirror, driven by a white male adult.

The Brawley Police Department urges anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
