Deadly Pedestrian Crash on 16th Street Led to Arrest [San Francisco, CA]

San Francisco, CA (May 30, 2025) — Early Monday morning, a pedestrian lost their life, and three others suffered injuries after a vehicle crash on 16th Street in San Francisco’s Mission District.

San Francisco police responded shortly after midnight to the area of 16th and Mission streets, where they found a pedestrian with critical injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where they later died.

Investigators determined that a vehicle struck the pedestrian and then hit three additional people. The three injured victims received treatment at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers later located the suspected vehicle and detained the driver. Authorities have not announced any charges as the investigation remains ongoing.
