Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Highway 710 Claims a Life [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (May 23, 2025) Early Friday morning, a man was killed after a horrific pedestrian crash on Highway 710.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal crash happened along the northbound 710 Freeway near the Wardlow Road exit.

Reports say that a truck fatally struck a man walking along the highway.

The CHP responded to the scene at around 12:03 a.m. Long Beach Fire Department personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Authorities closed three lanes of the freeway and the West Wardlow exit for three hours to investigate the collision.
