Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Main Street Claims a Life [Oakley, CA]

Oakley, CA (May 02, 2025) On Sunday evening, a horrific pedestrian crash on Main Street left a person dead at the scene.

According to authorities, the frightening incident happened late Sunday night, at around 11 p.m. near Sandy Lane.

Reports say that a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian on Main Street near Sandy Lane in Oakley.

Police responded around 11 p.m. and found the victim in the roadway with severe injuries.

Authorities pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the individual, possibly unhoused and living nearby, was standing in the middle of the unlit road when the crash occurred. Several witnesses confirmed the poor visibility at the time of the incident. The driver remained at the scene, cooperated with police, and submitted to drug and alcohol testing. No arrests have been made.
