Disastrous 3-vehicle Collision on Highway 281 Kills 17-Year-Old Girl

Windthorst, TX (October 21, 2023) On Friday, a 17-year-old female driver was killed in a tragic rear-end crash on US 281.

According to DPS, the fatal 3-vehicle collision happened on US Highway 281 near the Dollar General in Windthorst.

Reports say that a a Ford F250 rear-ended the teens vehicle, the impact of the collision sent the girls vehicle spinning toward oncoming traffic and was eventually struck again by an oncoming Chevrolet Malibu.

Officials say that the 17-year-old suffered serious injuries and was transported to United Regional Health Care System, and she was later pronounced dead.
