Deadly Rollover Crash on SR 240 Claims Teen’s Life [Richland, WA]

Richland, WA (November 23, 2023) On Tuesday afternoon, a 17-year-old female from Kennewick died, and 2 other teens were hurt in a rollover crash on SR 240.

According to the Richland Police Department, the single-vehicle crash happened around 3 p.m. on eastbound State Route 240 at the off ramp from the bypass to I-182.

Reports say that an 18-year-old driver from Kennewick, and 2 17-year-old passengers were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Officials say that the driver and one of the 17-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital, while the 17-year-old female from Kennewick died at the scene.

Authorities say that charges against the driver are pending at this time.
