Dallas, TX (May 19, 2025) – 2 people were killed, while 2 others were hurt after a traffic collision near Highway 635 early Sunday morning.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the fatal crash happened in the southbound lanes near Highway 635 on the Dallas North Tollway.

Reports say that the wrong-way crash left two people dead and two others injured.

Authorities say taht a 2020 Dodge Durango was heading northbound when it collided head-on with a 2018 Mercedes CLA250.

The impact killed the Mercedes driver at the scene. A passenger in the Mercedes died later at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital, while another passenger remains in critical condition.

Emergency crews transported the Dodge driver to Plano Presbyterian Hospital with serious injuries. Authorities suspect intoxication contributed to the crash.

The collision temporarily shut down the tollway as investigators worked the scene. The case remains under investigation, and officials have not yet released the names of those involved.
