Deadly Traffic Crash on Highway 133 Claims a Life [Meta, MO]

Meta, MO (January 18, 2025) On Friday morning, a 19-year-old man was killed while a woman was hurt in a horrific traffic crash on Highway 133.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the fatal crash happened around 5:40 a.m. on Highway 13, approximately eight miles south of Meta.

Reports say that the crash claimed one life and left another person seriously injured early .

Authorities say that a 19-year-old man driving a 2005 Ford Focus crossed the center line and collided with a northbound 2023 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 34-year-old woman.

The was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders transported the woman to St. Mary’s in Jefferson City for treatment of serious injuries.
