Cyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run on Historic Old Highway 90 in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (March 8, 2025) Early Friday morning, a bicyclist tragically lost their life after a traffic Crash on Old Highway 90.

According to San Antonio police, the frightening crash happened around 6:15 a.m. in the 300 block of the roadway.

Reports say that a driver struck and killed a bicyclist early Friday morning on Historic Old Highway 90, also known as Enrique M. Barrera Parkway.

Witnesses reported that a white Ford pickup truck hit the man as he attempted to cross the street. The truck’s driver fled the scene, leaving the victim on the road.

Shortly after, a second vehicle ran over the man, but that driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Authorities estimate the victim was between 40 and 50 years old. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm his identity and cause of death. Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver, who will face charges for a collision involving death.
