Deadly Traffic Crash on Skyway Road Claims a Life [Magalia, CA]

Magalia, CA (March 1, 2025) On Thursday evening, a 25-year-old Mentone man lost his life, and a 20-year-old San Dimas woman suffered major injuries after a traffic crash on Skyway Road.

Authorities say that the vehicle crash happened on Skyway Road near Rosewood Drive in Magalia.

Reports say that a vehicle crashed into a tree late Thursday night, February 29.

The gray Lexus IS 350, traveling northbound at an unknown speed, veered off the road and struck a tree, splitting in half. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders transported the injured passenger to Enloe Medical Center.

Officials believe neither person was wearing a seatbelt, a factor under investigation that may have worsened the severity of the crash. Investigators are still determining if alcohol or distracted driving played a role.
