Travis County, TX (April 3, 2026) – Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash on SH 45 and U.S. 183 on Friday afternoon.
Authorities closed the northbound lanes of SH 130 in southeastern Travis County following a deadly crash.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision involved two vehicles in the eastbound lanes of SH 45 over U.S. 183, south of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and north of Mustang Ridge.
Officials have not yet confirmed how many people died in the wreck.
As crews responded to the scene and investigators worked to gather more information, authorities urged drivers to expect delays and use alternate routes.
The crash remains under investigation.
