1 Dead in Tucson Multi-Vehicle Accident on W Valencia Road and S Mark Road

TUCSON, AZ (July 2, 2024) – Saturday morning, 73-year-old Debby Bazan died in a brutal multi-vehicle crash on W Valencia Road and S Mark Road.

The incident happened at around 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Valencia Road and S Mark Road.

Reports said that Bazan was driving westbound on Valencia when she ran a red light at the intersection of Valencia and Mark. 

While trying to avoid a vehicle that had entered the intersection legally from Mark Road, Bazan swerved and missed that car, only to crash with two other vehicles heading east on Valencia.

This multi-vehicle crash resulted in injuries to four people, and one driver immediately fled the scene on foot. Bazan was taken to a nearby hospital but tragically did not survive her injuries.

Authorities identified the fleeing driver as 25-year-old Da’Quan Cain. He was later found and arrested on charges of hit-and-run involving a fatality.
