Three Stanton Residents Killed in Head-On Crash in Martin County
Martin County, TX (July 3, 2026) — Debra Ramirez was among three Stanton residents, including two teenage girls, who lost their lives in a head-on collision Wednesday evening in Martin County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2026 Ford Explorer was traveling east on the north service road of Interstate 20 when it failed to yield the right-of-way to a westbound 2021 Lincoln Corsair entering an I-20 on-ramp. The vehicles collided head-on.
Authorities identified the victims as 42-year-old Ramirez and a 14-year-old girl, who were both pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old girl was taken to Martin County Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the Ford and two passengers were transported to Midland Memorial Hospital. Two sustained serious injuries, while the third suffered minor injuries.
The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
Sweet Lawyers extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of Debra Ramirez and the two young victims. We hope they find strength, comfort, and peace during this heartbreaking time.
