Suspect Arrested After Police Chase Crash on South Colorado Street in Lockhart

Lockhart, TX (May 23, 2025) – A deputy sustained injuries in a crash on South Colorado Street on Thursday.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the deputy was helping the Lockhart Police Department chase a felony suspect at the time of the incident.

While pursuing the suspect, the deputy lost control of the patrol unit, which veered off the road at the intersection of South Colorado Street and Blackjack Street in Lockhart. 

The crash did not involve any other vehicles.

Emergency responders transported the deputy to a hospital for medical treatment.

Officers successfully apprehended the suspect and booked them into the Caldwell County Jail. 

Authorities have not yet released additional details about the suspect.
