Injuries Reported in Walker County Auto Accident on FM 2296 and Pineridge Lane

WALKER COUNTY, TX (February 11, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, a deputy for the Montgomery County Constable’s Office, Pct. 1, sustained injuries in a startling traffic crash on FM 2296 and Pineridge Lane.

The incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. on FM 2296 and Pineridge Lane in Walker County.

DPS said a deputy struck a vehicle from behind while northbound traffic was stopped for construction, triggering a four-car crash.

The New Waverly Fire Department said the deputy was initially trapped but was quickly freed and stabilized. She was airlifted to a Houston hospital and was last reported in stable condition, according to DPS.

One other driver was taken for medical evaluation as a precaution and had no visible injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The deputy’s name has not been released. Authorities have not provided a cause for the crash.
