Derrick Deon Flanders Dies in Pedestrian Accident on North Pacific Avenue [Huntington Beach, CA]

Officer Involved in Broadway Fatal Traffic Accident

Huntington Beach, CA (August 30, 2022) – On August 27, 45-year-old Derrick Deon Flanders of Rancho Palos Verdes died in an accident on North Pacific Avenue.

It was about 5:30 a.m. when a Huntington Beach police vehicle struck Flanders on Broadway.

Right immediately, the paramedics responded to the accident scene and rushed Derrick Deon Flanders to an area hospital where he lost his life.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old officer who was involved in this accident did not sustain injuries.

The authorities arrived at the UCI Medical Center to investigate the incident. They did not say the type of call the involved officer was responding to when the Broadway fatal traffic accident took place.
