Man Killed in Devastating 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 and California Street [Ventura, CA]

1 Dead in Ventura Auto Accident on Highway 101 and California Street

VENTURA, CA (June 10, 2026) – Monday night, a man died in a devastating 2-vehicle crash on Highway 101 and California Street.

The incident happened just before 10:54 p.m. on southbound Highway 101, north of California Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

Dispatchers received multiple reports of a two-vehicle collision on southbound Highway 101 north of California Street.

When first responders arrived, they found a tan 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe in an embankment west of the highway. An unresponsive male driver was located inside the vehicle.

After being assessed by medical personnel, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:15 p.m., according to CHP.

The crash remains under investigation.
