BAKER, CA (May 13, 2026) – Monday morning, a devastating 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Mile Marker 143 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:51 a.m. on Interstate 15 near Mile Marker 143.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a green semi-tractor-trailer and a red/brown pickup truck.

Moreover, officers confirmed that one person died in the crash. Then, Mercy Air #66 helicopter airlifted one person to University Medical Center Southern Nevada UMC Hospital with unknown injuries. Also, Mercy Air #21 helicopter transported one person to Providence St Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
