BUSHLAND, TX (March 25, 2026) – Tuesday, a person died in a devastating 2-vehicle crash on Simmons Road near Interstate 40.

The incident involving a semi and a pickup truck happened on Simmons Road and Interstate 40.

The Potter County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a crash after a semi-truck pulled out in front of a pickup.

Authorities said one person in the pickup died at the scene, while another occupant was airlifted in critical condition.

The semi driver was also taken by ambulance in critical condition.

Simmons Road is closed at the I-40 underpass in Bushland, and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
