The incident involving two vehicles happened at about 6:47 p.m. on State Route 299 east of Del Loma near the Trinity River.

According to reports, three people were reported dead.

According to CHP logs, a head-on collision between a red sedan and a white SUV in the westbound lane resulted in serious casualties.
