FREMONT, CA (January 5, 2026) – Friday afternoon, a devastating bicycle crash on 44000 Osgood Road killed 1 person.

The incident involving a semi-truck and a cyclist happened in the 44000 block of Osgood Road.

Authorities said the bicyclist died at the scene.

A preliminary investigation determined that a truck had been traveling northbound on Osgood Road. It stopped in the two-way center left-turn lane while preparing to turn into a business parking lot. The bicyclist was riding southbound along the west side of Osgood Road and was approaching the truck as it began turning into the driveway, causing a collision.
