HOUSTON, TX (April 16, 2026) – Wednesday afternoon, a person died in a devastating car crash on 900 South Victory Street near Knox Street.

The incident occurred at about 1:15 p.m. in the 900 block of South Victory Street near Knox Street.

Investigators said a white Dodge truck was traveling west on Victory Street when it collided with a gray Infiniti sedan.

Officials confirmed that a person inside the Infiniti was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the Dodge driver is being evaluated to determine if alcohol played a role. Investigators are also working to establish whether speed was a factor.

The Houston Police Department said its Vehicular Crimes Unit is handling the investigation.
