4 People Dead in Del Rio Traffic Accident on McHenry Avenue and Hogue Road

DEL RIO, CA (April 10, 2024) – Tuesday night, a devastating head-on crash on McHenry Avenue at Hogue Road killed four people.

The incident happened at around 4:00 p.m. on McHenry Avenue at Hogue Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Mitsubishi Sedan crossed over into the opposite lane for still unknown reasons and collided head-on with a Toyota SUV.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 19-year-old female driver of the sedan and her 22-year-old male passenger, dead at the scene. Also, authorities confirmed that the 60-year-old female driver of the SUV and her 1-year-old passenger both died at an area hospital.

Furthermore, authorities said that two more vehicles collided with the first two vehicles, but no one else was injured.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
