1 Dead in San Luis Auto Accident on S Highway 95 and W County 22nd Street

SAN LUIS, AZ (July 13, 2026) – Thursday afternoon, 82-year-old Rosa Acosta Limon died in a devastating head-on crash on S Highway 95.

The incident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. on S Highway 95 nd W County 22nd Street.

Authorities said a red 2020 Jeep Gladiator was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a northbound white 2017 Hyundai Tucson.

The Hyundai driver, identified as 82-year-old Rosa Acosta Limon of San Luis, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jeep driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by San Luis Fire EMS to a local hospital.

The sheriff’s office said its Criminal Investigations Bureau assisted with the investigation, which remains ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.
