1 Dead in Phoenix Bicycle Accident near 16th Street and Riverview Drive

PHOENIX, AZ (September 15, 2026) – Early Monday morning, a bicyclist died in a hit-and-run crash near 16th Street and Riverview Drive.

The incident happened at about 5:45 a.m. near 16th Street and Riverview Drive. 

Officers responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist and found a man who had been hit while riding his bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His identity was not released.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene before officers arrived, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
